DescriptionThe Deathadder Lizard has a strong appeal because its gills and arms look like those of a small amphibian. It works with various rigs, including a Carolina rig, split shot rig, Texas rig, and as a jig trailer. When fished weightless, it has a kickback effect as the back legs slow the slide. The action of it not passing through the cover frustrates the bass and gets them to bite. The buoyant hollow air hole at the tip of the straight tail creates a tight and natural action, stimulating the bass’s feeding habits and aggression. To get more bites, you can insert scents or rattles into the hole. The body is made of 20 percent salt and an ultra-soft material that also includes a crawfish scent that bass love. The plastic is also solid, keeping the bait from tearing as quickly, and the scent helps appeal to the bass’s taste and smell. The bait’s gills and arms look like small amphibians and wiggle with the slightest change of the water. This generates slight vibrations that interest bass even after a short pitch and slow fall. The spring-back action from the hind legs helps slow the bait’s sliding, which frustrates the bass and gets them to bite. This is a highly effective action when fished weightless or on the back of a Carolina rig or split shot rig. The hollow air hole in the tail is very buoyant and placed at the tip of the straight tail to create a tight action that looks natural and appeals to bass that do not like aggressive moving baits. The hollow air hole makes a slight wiggle that changes when the bait hits the bottom. It slowly falls over every time, which teases the bass into biting. The air hole can be filled with scent for extra appeal, or you can insert rattles to produce additional sound. Adding either of these will stimulate bass feeding and get them to bite.
