Antique print, hand coloured from 1833 after William Jardine. It is titled, Silky Tamarin, Midalis Rosalia. It is also known as the golden lion tamarin, a small New World monkey native to South America, particularly the rainforests of the Amazon basin and eastern Brazil. The print was published as part of the Naturalist Library by W.H. Lizars, Edinburgh. The prints are approximately 10 by 17 cm’s. The prints are in good condition, paper will show ageing and foxing, please see pictures.
