Antique print, hand coloured from 1833 after William Jardine. It is titled, Hapales Jacchus, the Striated Monkey. Hapales Jacchus is the historical scientific name for the species now known as the common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) The print was published as part of the Naturalist Library by W.H. Lizars, Edinburgh. The prints are approximately 10 by 17 cm’s. The prints are in good condition, paper will show ageing and foxing, please see pictures.
